President

As president, Mr. Scurto is responsible for ISCS's corporate vision and strategic direction. The founder of ISCS, his deep understanding of both insurance and IT has led to SurePower Innovation's incorporation of uniquely rich insurance flexibility and capabilities, over its three-generation development.
Scurto is a rarity among company presidents in reserving significant time to work in the trenches with customers. He notes, "If I weren't solving client business challenges, I wouldn't be in this business." His strategic decisions for SurePower Innovation are informed by this continued customer contact and knowledge of both the large, strategic issues and the minutiae of the insurance business learned through more than 20 years' working specifically with insurance industry systems.
Scurto is passionate about technology and continually exploring how the newest technology developments can provide practical benefits for the insurance industry. He speaks frequently at industry conferences and publishes in industry publications.
Mr. Scurto received his bachelor's degree in computer engineering from San Jose State University.

Mr. Bingham has more than 25 years' experience in the insurance industry, including five years immediately prior to joining ISCS as director of Information Systems for American Bonding Insurance Company.
Bingham manages ISCS's computer center and customer-outsourced operations, including customer output fulfillment (printing and mailing) of policies and policy documents, billing, and notices.
Mr. Bingham received his bachelor's degree in business from University of Houston.

Vice President Professional Services

Ms. Holden-Mikesell provides the leadership behind ISCS's industry-leading services delivery. Her responsibilities include SurePower Innovation implementations, technical support, and training, as well as overseeing alliances with service partners. Holden-Mikesell brings to ISCS the insight gained from her own experience as an executive in the property and casualty insurance industry responsible for mission-critical projects, managing vendor-partners, and ensuring communication among the complex set of stakeholders that comprise an insurance organization.
Holden-Mikesell has more than 20 years' senior management experience creating high-performing teams and delivering enterprise solutions to Fortune 500, mid-size, and start-up companies. Most recently she served as vice president, Enterprise Business Solutions at ICW Group Insurance Companies, a 50-state, multi-line family of property and casualty insurance carriers. Prior to ICW, she was with Silicon Space, LLC, building and leading teams that delivered custom application software and was a key member of the executive team that spun off Covario, an online marketing analytics company. Her early career includes positions at PeopleSoft (acquired by Oracle) and as a partner in a software company offering risk management solutions to the P&C insurance industry.
Ms. Holden-Mikesell received her bachelor's degree in business administration from West Texas A&M University.

Vice President Product Development

Mr. Meier has almost 25 years' Silicon Valley software industry experience, including eight years as owner and president of Midas Software, a successful enterprise software company serving Fortune 100 clients. Midas was acquired by FASTech, which was then acquired by Brooks Automation, now part of Applied Materials. Meier continued in development and management roles at Brooks for nine years.
Meier leads ISCS's product development team and is responsible for high-level technical design, system architecture, process and technical direction. Meier is a prime driver of the fast-paced R&D at ISCS.
Each year, his team's meticulous release notes for each of the three to four SurePower Innovation development releases attest to how his team follows the instructions of legendary coach John Wooden: "Be quick but don't hurry."

Vice President Major Accounts

Mr. Riley brings more than 30 years' experience in the insurance business to his support of effective communication between ISCS and its clients.
Having founded and served as president/CEO of two multi-line insurance carriers, Riley brings an understanding of the challenges and demands of the insurance executive's role.
Prior to ISCS, Riley served as vice president of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a division of the TATA group, where he specialized in the insurance business and was responsible for TCS's Insurance Development Center. He also has served in senior management for a major health insurer.
Mr. Riley received his bachelor's degree in business administration, with majors in insurance and economics, from University of Iowa. John is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Mr. Shelton helps form and execute ISCS's financial and overall company strategies. He has more than 15 years' experience in insurance industry, 12 as an ISCS senior executive and three as an advisor to ISCS following its founding.
Shelton handles high level contract negotiations and sales contacts, as well as building banking relationships.
His experience prior to ISCS, includes 16 years' experience in sales and marketing management roles, including a tenure at EDS. He also worked in accounting and financial management at Sprint and NCR. He is a licensed property and casualty agent in California, Texas and Florida.
Mr. Shelton received his bachelor's degree in commerce and accounting from the University of Santa Clara.

Vice President Insurance Solutions

Mr. Wanzong's more than 20 years' insurance industry experience informs his leadership of ISCS's insurance solutions team. He ensures that ISCS's solutions are highly relevant to the business and operational needs of insurance organizations. He has a detailed understanding of SurePower Innovation's comprehensive capabilities and customer lines of business.
Mr. Wanzong's knowledge of a breadth of insurance administration situations often leads to his SurePower Innovation demonstrations becoming an interactive discussion of the potential client's pain points and how SurePower Innovation can resolve them, to the potential client's pleasant surprise at the depth and detail of the solution.
Prior to ISCS, Wanzong served eight years at California Compensation Insurance Company, where he led a system design and development team that replaced legacy systems with client-server software.
Mr. Wanzong received his degrees in math and computer science from Gavilan College.

Mr. Garvey brings ISCS more than 30 years' experience in the insurance industry. For insurance companies evaluating policy administration systems, Garvey brings a deep knowledge of the complete insurance cycle and rich insight into insurance company, MGA, and agent needs. Prior to joining ISCS, Garvey most recently held a policy administration system sales and sales management position for a major software vendor.
Garvey's experience also includes sales of large systems and agency management software at Applied Systems and AMS; management and application software sales at IVANS; and owner of Comand Industries, a personal lines comparative rating software company.
Garvey believes the right selection process builds a foundation for the solution to drive an insurance company's growth and success. The process can and should include strategic decision making, mutual discovery, proper expectation setting, and open methods that carry through deployment to a long-term, trusted partnership
Mr. Garvey received his bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Findlay, Findlay, Ohio.

Director of Marketing & Usability

Dr. Kiekhaefer directs ISCS’s “voice of the customer” program that comprises developing usability programs for Web portal development, extending usability initiatives for SurePower Innovation, and ensuring that marketing meets the real information needs of prospects.
Dr. Kiekhaefer brings extensive Web, customer research, and usability expertise to ISCS. An independent consultant for 15 years, specializing in market research, software usability, and Internet initiatives, his clients ranged from Cisco Systems, Stanford University, and almost all “Big Pharma” companies to social networking, enterprise software, and mobile application start-ups.
Kiekhaefer also served three years as a legislative aide for a US Congressman, where he was responsible for health care, Social Security and insurer relations serving a district that was home to several large insurers and niche insurance companies. Prior to this, his insurance software experience included two years developing interfaces, training programs, and reporting for a developer of enterprise administration and insurance processing systems for large physician groups, where he also led several conversions from paper to automated systems.
Dr. Kiekhaefer received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, “with distinction,” and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Ph.D. in English from University of California, Berkeley.

Director of Customer Strategic Projects & Support

Stermer brings to ISCS more than 20 years' experience in software automation for enterprise operations. Prior to promotion to her present position, she was a lead solution architect at ISCS for four years, leading a series of successful full enterprise insurance system implementation projects and driving the initial adoption of agile project methodology at ISCS. Previous to ISCS, Stermer gained a wide range of software development and support experience in the demanding field of semiconductor manufacturing software. In more than eight years at Brooks Automation (NASDAQ: BRKS), she served as a member of senior management designing agile processes that significantly increased delivery to schedule and developed innovative QA processes and metrics for continual software improvement, as well as managing off-shore QA and documentation teams.
Ms. Stermer received her B.S.E. in computer engineering from Tulane University. She has completed post-graduate work in several software languages, project management, software training, team management, CMMI development and administration. She is a certified Scrum Master.
